History

The Osório de Vasconcelos Jardim Gonçalves family arrived at Quinta da Azenha guided by memories and roots. The Monserrate hillside reminded Maria d'Assunção of the valleys and hills of Távora-Varosa, while the proximity of the sea, the cliffs of Colares, and the mountains of the Serra de Sintra reminded Jorge of Madeira, where he was born. At Quinta da Azenha, they built their new house, with a ground floor opening onto the garden, like a house on the Monte in Madeira, and it was the reunion point for those origins.

A love for Colares.

Assunção and Jorge shared more than one love for Colares: they inherited a winemaking tradition. Osório de Vasconcelos in Mondim da Beira and Jardim Gonçalves in Madeira cultivated vineyards for generations. Inspired by this heritage, they passed this legacy on to their five children.

This is how Infinitude wines were born.

A tribute to roots, designed for future generations. The noble Merlot and Pinot Noir grape varieties were planted at Quinta da Azenha in the late 1990s. According to some authors, French vines may not be foreign to the region, having been introduced by King Afonso III after his sojourn in France as Count of Boulogne.

Quality from in.fi.ni.te.

The first wines were destined for family and friends to enjoy. Among connoisseurs and connoisseurs, the quality and typicity were evident, and thus the Infinitude project was considered, designed, and finally formally presented, with the launch of the first wines to the public in 2017.
